Dr. Peter Lewinski
VicarVision congratulates Dr. Peter Lewinski on successfully defending his dissertation and obtaining his PhD!
His thesis is titled “The Role of Facial Expression in Resisting Enjoyable Advertisements” and demonstrates how consumers can resist persuasion by modulating their bodily expression. He used FaceReader, VicarVision´s automatic facial coding software, in a series of 12 experiments. Although FaceReader is often used to test advertising effectiveness in the domain of neuro-marketing, Peter demonstrated that our technology can be also used to empower consumers.
The main message of his thesis has been so far featured in Vrij Nederland, BNR Nieuwsradio and the scientific blog of Noldus IT.
